Why is the VAFA introducing a Player Assistance Program?
The VAFA Player Assistance Program has been developed after consultation and feedback from VAFA stakeholders and is a key initiative to be delivered based on the VAFA’s Mental Health & Welfare Strategy. The VAFA understands that Mental Health and Welfare of its members is of great importance and that this initiative will be the primary Mental health initiative of the VAFA alongside the Tackle Your Feelings program.
The Player Assistance Program is funded partially through the $11 Player registration fee collected annually.
The Player Assistance Program will be delivered as a 6-month trial to allow for collection of insights and data on how to deliver this opportunity to VAFA Players moving forward. All of the information collected through these services is 100% confidential and data collected by the VAFA is de-identified.
