The Old Carey Grammarians Football Clubs strongly recommends its players purchase
private health insurance and ambulance cover as the insurance the Club has for player injury is sometimes limited.  The Club is insured by Marsh under an AFL National Risk Protection Program
and has recently upgraded to Gold Level cover.

The upgrade in coverage see’s an increase in Non-medicare Medical Benefit and Capital Benefit for VAFA registered players.

  • An increase in reimbursement from 50% to 90% of items that are not claimable through medicare.
  • A reduction in excess per claim from $100 to $50.
  • An increase in reimbursement from a maximum of $2,000 to $3,500 per claim.
  • An increase in capital benefit from $100,000 maximum to $200,000 maximum (provides cover in the event of death or TPD).
