OCGFC Welcomes Back Club Champions In Off-Field Roles

The Old Carey Grammarians Football Club is delighted to announce the return of club stalwarts Cameron Jones, Michael Mitchell, and Sam Crocker in off-field roles.

Jones will be Vice President to President-Elect Michael Tarrant, returning to the club and the committee. After one of the most decorated careers in the club’s history, which consisted of a Premiership in 2010, a playing career that spanned over 153 games, and a very successful stint as Club Captain, the Panthers are excited to have “CJ’s” intelligence and passion and hope that he can help drive the club back to where it belongs.

Mitchell rejoins the club as Development Coach in 2022 after coaching roles at Melbourne High School Old Boys, where he had roles as Under 19s Coach and Development Coach. “Mitch” is no stranger to the club, having played and then been Assistant Coach in the drought-breaking Under 19 Premiership Team of 2015.

Crocker comes back to Old Carey as an Assistant Coach in the Senior Team, looking after the backline. Sam has enjoyed a stellar playing career and had experience in highly succesful AFL, VFL, & VAFA systems. We look forward to what Sam can bring to the coaching ranks in 2022 and beyond.
