Jepson Brothers Sweep Senior Awards For 2021

The Jepson family trophy cabinet claimed two new members last night as brothers Tom and Ben took out the John Hands Senior Best & Fairest and the Runner Up Senior Best & Fairest awards respectively.

It was a just-reward for Tom, the senior leader was a super consistent member for the Panthers, constantly providing poise and class when needed.

Younger brother Ben consistently wowed crowds with his ability, his strong form seeing called up to the VFL for Coburg before COVID lockdowns caused seasons to abruptly end.

The club celebrated the 2021 season and the in-roads made toward the 2022 season last night at Bulleen, where the 2021 awards were handed out to recipients across the four teams.

As well as the awards won by Tom and Ben Jepson, young gun Lachlan Senior received the Nick Everett Award for Best Senior First Year Player for a season in which he played 11 Premier B Senior games.

Tackling machine Harry Prendergast received the Kelvin Shrives Award for Most Determined Senior Player award, while Daniel “Cuddles” Clarke won the Senior Coaches Award.

For the Development Team, Connor Bavage’s consistent season saw him awarded with the Best & Fairest, with James Waldon as Runner Up. Josh Sharrock and James Harkness couldn’t be split for the Coaches Award.

Matt Hose’s return to the club was rewarded with the Thirds Best & Fairest, with Jack Desmier the Runner Up and Josh Leith receiving the Coaches Award.

In the Under 19s, a super season from Lucas Hudson won him the Best & Fairest, with Max Razums awarded Runner Up and the hard-working Nick Collins picking up the Coaches Award.

Well done to all of the recipients from last night and all players, coaches, committee and volunteers from the 2021 season! The club is looking forward to announcing further plans for 2022 over the coming weeks and months.
