Old Carey FC Established in 1954

The Club History

We are thrilled to announce that after almost ten months of hard work and archive digging, our club Historian Duncan “Beersy” Palmer has republished our updated Club History. The Club History continues the story first published by Nic Vasilopoulos almost a decade ago.

The Club History will be available in the Carey School archives and also can be downloaded from the following link.

The Club History

The Club History will be a live document and updates will be made more frequently than in the past to ensure all important historical information is accounted for, accurate and shared amongst the Panther community.

It is a remarkable story that spans over half a century, compressed nicely into fifty easily readable pages. It is equally special to reflect on what has been a great decade for the Old Carey Grammarians Football Club led tirelessly by past President Paul Newton and past Secretary Alan Fotheringham and the many committees.

Thank you to the many who have contributed to the Club History, being by Nic Vasilopoulos, Chris Thomas, Chris Battle, Arnold Wilcox David Jones, Simon Jones, Duncan Palmer, Ian England, Alan Fotheringham, John Hands, Val Evans and Paul Newton.

We welcome further contributions by past members, players, coaches and supporters.
