Despite being a relatively small community sports club – the yearly operational costs for Old Carey FC continue to grow with each season. Recent estimates peg it at nearly $1500 for each player we put out on the park. Our aim is to ensure no player misses out on account of cost and with that in mind we are determined to create meaningful connection with the vast Carey Community which includes; players past and present, families, friends, local businesses and school alumni.

We like to refer to those who help us in achieving our “nobody left behind” aim, as: “Torchbearers” – The Torch has sat upon the Carey Baptist Grammar School blazer for approaching 100 years – The Torchbearer is someone who takes possession of the torch, fuels the flame and passes it on in better shape than when they came across it.
